Funny enough, this black denim oversized top is meant to be a dress… lol.. Usually when I buy pieces that say they are a “t-shirt dress”, they are almost ALWAYS just a shirt on me because I’m pretty tall (5’9). BUT I was able to make it work!

The outfit

This black denim t-shirt dress (t-shirt..) is from Missy Empire and I’m absolutely obsessed with the fit and style of this. You can wear this so many different way because of the matching detachable belt. You can wear this as an oversized denim jacket/shirt or if you want to have it cinched at the waist, just throw the belt on and there ya go! I paired the top with my favorite pair of leather leggings from Tiger Mist. I think it gives the outfit an edgy look which I love. Underneath, I have on a high-neck tank top from NA-KD Fashion. I bought this tank top thinking it was going to be white, but it’s actually an off-white color, which I don’t mind.

Shoes & accessories

For shoes and accessories I have on my gold chain necklace from Matilda Djerf’s NA-KD collection and my gold lock necklace from this cute jewelry store I found on instagram called Frankly My Dear (will be linked down below). If you want simple and dainty jewelry, go check them out! The two chunky rings I am wearing are probably my favorite statement rings that I own at the moment. I also found them through instagram from an online store called Ichor Studios (again will be linked down below). My bag is just my go-to black from from a cute consignment shop in CT. I picked out two different types of shoes to show a casual look and a more dressed up look. To make it casual, I have on my white chunky sneakers from FILA. For a dressed up look (which is my favorite option), I have on these black strappy heels from Lulu’s – my absolute fav black heels at the moment!

I’m so happy with how this look turned out! It’s been so fun playing around with my style lately, and I’m loving this edgy look! Let me know if anyone else struggles with having “dresses” looking more like shirts on them lol!
