This Week’s Insta Outfits Breakdown

HI EVERYONE! It’s been over a week since I’ve posted a blog post and it feels like forever! Anyway, I figured I’d give an outfit breakdown of the past few series of outfit photos posted on my Instagram. Originally, I wanted separate blog posts for each outfit, but then I thought things are getting a little too repetitive on my blog – outfit post after outfit post. And don’t get me wrong, I loveee sharing the details of my outfits and why I chose to pair this with that. But after this insta outfit breakdown, I am going to switch things up a bit and blog about something OTHER THAN MY OOTD haha.

Outfit Series #1

There’s nothing wrong with a little sparkle

This outfit is so fun! I’ve been seeing this glitter belt LITERALLY EVERYWHERE! On all of my favorite brands to shop from online, I guarantee you they have a glitter belt…BUT…it will be SOLD OUT! That’s how popular this belt is! It took me a while to find one in stock until one of my friends Alyssa Amato (@fashionsensored on insta) opened up her very own online store. It’s the perfect destination to find the best “boho clothing for the free-spirited babes” – and ain’t that the truth! I’m so obsessed with her brand and I always get so excited when I receive an email from her saying “new items have arrived”! Couldn’t be more happy for Alyssa and her newest venture into opening up an online store!

Anyway back to the outfit! I paired this look with this cropped button down with flared sleeves from a brand called Get Choosy – a very trendy brand, definitely up-and-coming. The shirt was definitely simple enough to pair with this belt, but chic enough to stand out on its own. It doesn’t overpower the staple of the outfit (the belt), but it’s not just a plain white button down. For jeans, I’m wearing a classic fav of mine – Levis 501 skinny jeans. Keeping the outfit pretty monochromatic, pairing this look with white mules ties the entire outfit together – letting the belt be the star of the show, but having the other pieces have their moment as well!

For those of you who are wondering why there is a random selfie in the middle of the series, I took this photo during the basic-bitch-selfie time – golden hour lol. The light was looking cool in my room, I was trying on a new hat from Lack of Color, and I was feeling myself – sorry not sorry! So, I just thought I’d stick this photo in between the glitter belt series!

Outfit Series #2

3 Fav things: Red, Polka Dots, & Leather

Total Minnie Mouse vibes and I am OKAY with that! I am a sucker for anything red and anything with polka dots. I blame my mom for the obsession with polka dots because she’s a sucker for them as well – I’m not that mad about it…I mean, look how cute they make an outfit look! This red, polka dot, wrap dress is from Princess Polly…lol shocker… and I am obsessed with how girly it is. To layer, I wore a white cropped top underneath because it is still a little chilly outside.

I fully believe that a staple clothing piece that should be in everyone’s closet is a leather jacket. It goes with anything and everything, and can make any outfit a little bit edgy – something I personally love to pair with a girly look (like this dress lol). This leather jacket is vegan (yay) and from Zara. Zara has a variety of leather jackets (real and faux) that are pretty affordable and awesome quality. To keep the edgy vibe of the outfit going, I paired the look with my all time favorite Dr. Martens – another staple I feel everyone should have in their closets!

Outfit Series #3

Vintage meets western meets edgy

This look is probably my favorite outfit because it feels the most like myself and my style and I know it will be my new go-to casual outfit. The “western vibe” has been a huge trend coming into this spring season and I know it will be here to stay during the summer time. From big rancher hats to cowboy boots, the western trend is something everyone needs to hop on – it’s just such a fun trend!

This vintage Harley Davidson tee from 12th Tribe is my new fav, I am wearing it literally all the time. 12th Tribe has THE BEST selection of vintage tees and they have new vintage items popping up on their site all the time. These pants are from Abrand denim, but I got them off of Princess Polly (what else is new). They are the perfect off-white, beige color PERFECTTTTT for spring and summer. I saw them on Princess Polly’s website and bought them IMMEDIATELY! You will be seeing a lot of looks with these jeans. To bring the western vibe to the look, I am wearing my Lack Of color Rancher hat in the color Ivory (lol bought off of Princess Polly…). I am so happy I discovered Lack of Color because they have the cutest hats that are such amazing quality – their hats are 100% staples you should have for spring and summer. Finally, the edgy vibe of the outfit is the one and only Dr. Marten boots.

LOVE! Those last two outfits were incredible, but the red dress paired with the leather jacket and Docs is definitely my favourite! xx
